Experience
After the successful acquisition of Hedgehog Invest by Inveniam, I joined their team to bring all the
knowledge and experience we had gathered about the application of blockchain technology into the investment
industry.
We built a new version of the application that helped our clients manage their portfolios by giving them
tools to structure and streamline workflows around investment documents and contracts. A key part of this
solution was the ability to search those documents and access them directly in the app via MCP and AI
agents.
As a member of the only in-house engineering team, I was responsible for laying the foundation for a new
frontend and backend architecture and paving the way toward a more goal-focused codebase that offshore
teams could work on effectively.

It was in a startup environment focused on blockchain technology that I joined Hedgehog Invest as a
Software Engineer.
Initially, we built a platform for individual investors who wanted exposure to real estate assets through
share ownership that would generate yield from rent and potential capital appreciation.
After a few months, we were able to start our pilot program with the first investors onboard, although not
enough to completely close the first deal; shares of this deal were represented on the Ethereum
blockchain.
Given the limited success of the pilot program, we pivoted from a B2C to a B2B model, where we tried to
shape a solution that would help investment firms manage their portfolios using our platform and give
them access to blockchain capabilities.
The startup nature of this engagement required me to wear many hats, and I was one of the few engineers
engaged in all aspects of the project, from frontend to backend to infrastructure to DevOps to EVM smart
contracts development.

Worked on a high-traffic product that empowered its clients to identify their end-users by doing KYC/AML
checks.
During that time, I was working primarily on the web channel of the product, where I was responsible for
promoting code standards across the team and delivering features that would help increase the accuracy of
the KYC/AML checks.
That required making a lot of data-driven decisions and software design that managed to support a wide
spectrum of end-devices.

Worked at Capco as a consultant, where I was helping with the acquisition of Raiffeisen Bank by BNP
Paribas in Poland. We were building a back-office application that was a reskin of an existing one at the
time and was incorporating functionalities that came with the ongoing acquisition.
At that time, I was primarily a front-end engineer mostly focused on building the payments portion of the
whole platform and promoted usage of a state management library (NgRx) that is used to this day. (afaik)
My first professional experience; I learned a lot about software development at a fairly small software house. I appreciate the opportunity to start my career there!
